About Melodie...
I have two dogs who I currently compete in agility with. Adam is a 4-year-old Border Collie who absolutely LOVES anything to do with agility. His drive and excitement is both refreshing and a bit nerve-racking for his handler to keep up with at times! Eve is an 8-year-old Border Collie/Lab cross who was rescued as a young dog and enjoys agility but sometimes finds it hard to keep her nose off the ground looking for anything yummy that may be on the ground! Both of my dogs are very different and have taught me many different things but ultimately.... just have fun with your dog! When I look back to when I was just starting to train my dogs I would never have thought that I could get them to do what they can do now in an agility ring!
I returned to the agility ring just over a year ago after taking some time off due to the arrival of my daughter. I am thankful that I was able to start training with Gaby at Q-Ball as my dogs (and myself as a handler!) have made some great progress thanks to her.
I am also the familiar voice that everyone hears from periodically with the Q-Ball email's, reminders, etc. I enjoy this aspect of helping out with Q-Ball and look forward to touching base with everyone now and then!
You may also find me filling in as an instructor every now and then and some people have claimed that they actually like my teaching so you may see more of me!
